Up The Middle

One of my biggest pet peeves are so called "educated people" who feel that the only way to prove their intelligence is by undermining others and disagreeing on every view point and fact while at the same time being vague and general about their own ideas. If someone has to point out that they are educated then chances are they aren't quite as smart as they would like to make out that they are. Truely educated people don't have to "flash credentials" to prove it. Even if u think i am off base on a particular opinion or view a) its still my personal opinion and b) theres no need to be rude and belittling. Disagreement is one thing, refusal to find any common ground whatsoever b/c someone didn't see it the exact same as you is another. True educated people are open-minded and inclusive, not close-minded and dismissive. 

So to all my "really" smart friends, thanks for not being pompus assholes/bitches.
